FIELDNOTE

Field research deck

FIELDNOTE is a free AI Skill for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor that builds a field-notes research deck as one HTML file you can present, retype, print and export to PPTX. A field research deck on cream paper: handwritten margin notes draw red leader lines back into the body, key words get circled by hand, and interview quotes rise word by word. Eleven slides in one HTML file, editable in the browser, printable to a 16:9 PDF and exportable as PPTX.

FAQ

Paste it into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor with one conclusion per slide and your real figures. The AI writes a single deck.html in your project folder that plays on a double-click. How Skills work

They sit in a 180 px column on the right, and each one draws an SVG curve back to the sentence it belongs to. The curve is drawn with stroke-dashoffset on arrival and un-drawn on the way back. Pull-quote slides raise their type word by word, and the tape and paper grain are pure CSS, so the deck needs no image files at all.

Yes. Every piece of text is editable in the browser and your edits stay put, with ⌘S saving a fresh HTML file. The PDF button prints one 16:9 page per slide, and the PPTX button exports through pptxgenjs so the text, tables and charts stay editable in PowerPoint rather than arriving as pictures.

No. The Skill runs inside your own AI tool, and deck.html stays on your own machine.
